2 Always use safety belts and proper child restraints, even with air bags children should be properly secured in a rear seat. Never place a rear-facing infant restraint in the front seat of any vehicle equipped with an active air bag. See the Owner’s Manual for more information.
3 Requires OnStar.
4 OnStar services require vehicle electrical system and analog wireless service to be available and operating for features to function properly. OnStar uses existing emergency service providers as well as analog wireless and satellite technologies and is subject to their limitations. The U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) ruled that wireless carriers will no longer be required to support the analog wireless network after February 16, 2008. After that time, if the carriers for OnStar elect to only provide digital service, OnStar service will only be available through dual-mode hardware, which may require the purchase of a system upgrade. Call 1-888-4ONSTAR (1-888-466-7827), see your OnStar Owner's Guide, or visit www.onstar.com for system limitations and details.

TRAILBLAZER TRAILERING DATA
NOTE: Your vehicle may require additional special equipment to tow the maximum trailer weights listed here. The weight-carrying hitch limit for TrailBlazer is a 4,000-lb. trailer with 400-lb. tongue weight. Weight-distributing hitch and sway control required over 4,000-lb. trailer weight.
Engine: Transmission Vortec 4200 Six-Cylinder:
Four-speed Automatic
Model Max. Trailer Weight (lbs.)1 Axle Ratio Max. GCWR (lbs.)2
2WD 5,300 3.42 10,000
  5,800 3.73 10,500
  6,300 4.10 11,000

4x4 5,100 3.42 10,000
  5,600 3.73 10,500
  6,100 4.10 11,000
1 Maximum trailer weight ratings are calculated assuming a base vehicle, except for any option(s) necessary to achieve the rating, plus driver. The weight of other optional equipment, passengers and cargo will reduce the maximum trailer weight your vehicle can tow. See your Chevy dealer for additional details.
2 GCWR: The Gross Combination Weight Rating (GCWR) is the total allowable weight of the completely loaded vehicle and trailer including any passengers, cargo, equipment and conversion. A properly equipped tow vehicle and trailer at the maximum GCWR should be able to accelerate and merge with traffic, climb typical interstate grades at highway speeds, handle the combination on most road surfaces and stop adequately within a reasonable distance. The GCWR for your vehicle should not be exceeded. USING GROSS COMBINATION WEIGHT RATINGS (GCWRs) TO DETERMINE ENGINE, TRANSMISSION AND REAR AXLE RATIOS:
You can use your desired GCWR calculation to determine the powertrain you will require to tow a specific trailer with your TrailBlazer. The last column to the right in the chart above shows the maximum allowable GCWR based on all available TrailBlazer engine, transmission and rear axle combinations. The GCWR includes the total loaded weight of both TrailBlazer and the trailer.
NOTE: Trailer tongue weight should be 10 to 15 percent of total loaded trailer weight (up to 750 lbs.). Addition of trailer tongue weight cannot cause vehicle weights to exceed Rear Gross Axle Weight Rating (RGAWR) or Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). These ratings can be found on the certification label located on the driver door or door frame. Base cooling system includes all content required to attain maximum trailer rating. No optional cooling equipment available.
