For 2005, Chevrolet introduces a replacement for the Cavalier in the all-new
Cobalt. Available in coupe and sedan bodystyles, this economy car is offered in
several trim levels: Base, LS, LT, SS, and SS Supercharged. Standard equipment
across the board includes an AM/FM stereo, a tilt-steering wheel, air
conditioning, and a rear seat split-bench with trunk pass-through. The higher
trims upgrade by adding features such as keyless remote entry, cruise control, ABS
brakes, and power windows and mirrors. Available options on the Cobalt include
heated leather seats, the OnStar system, XM Satellite Radio, a power sunroof, and
a MP3 radio. Transmission choices include a five-speed manual or four-speed
automatic. The SS Supercharged will be available later in the model year.
